Re: College Ball
no their big boy, I just hadn't heard you talk like that before, it surprised me some, sorry if that offended you, but don't come over here and try and start crap with me, I just asked you a simple question, I probably should have worded it different, but oh well.

Re: College Ball
Well the problem is you opened the can of worm so you deal with them big man.
You open something up you better be able to deal with it. It's called maturity. You will learn as you grow. But don't start something you can't answer.

Re: College Ball
I've got more maturity in my left nut than you've got in all your years of wisdom. I don't have a problem with you, but if you want to continue this conversation we can through pm's, I said it was not something that typically comes out of you mouth, but obviously you want to start crap with everyone today so lets go old man.

most people go to Tech to party and for football

Hahahahaha. That's hilarious.
Okay. Yes, I agree with Mega mostly on this subject. This past week I was turned down for a job that paid CRAP and had no benefits. Why was I interested? I looked at it as a starting point to gain experience. They wanted someone who was going to stick around for the the long-run...i.e. they wanted someone who was basically retired from their "career" and needed just a supplement type job or a "fun job".
I'm still a graduate from VT...still left needing experience....and now looking at grad school. Blah.

UVA-Wise is better than Tech in most categories, many people around here take it for granted but it really is a great school.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, UVA-Wise is one small step above a community college. I transferred from a big school, which was similar to V.T. because of its engineering program, to UVA-Wise my junior year and it was a joke. The faculty are old and boring, a majority of the classrooms should be condemned, and they still do add/drop schedules by paper. About the only thing UVA-Wise is good for is to get a high G.P.A. because it's easy and then move on to grad school.

Re: College Ball
I think I might be able to guess where that was if it was around here.

Re: College Ball
I agree for the most part Collage education is a big deal in getting your First job after that it is 99% experience.
While I do not Hire people in my current job I am often given resumes and ask to provide feedback. And for good of bad I would take the person who graduated from Nowhere U with 5 year experience over the person from Big time U with no experience

I'd just assume to take my political science degree I hope to have evenutally from Wise as compared to Tech.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally, I'm quite happy with the degree I earned from Tech in political science. People can say they think UVA-wise is better than Tech and in some aspects it may be, but that is like comparing apples to oranges- it is two totally different things. Tech is a university and it has advantages because of its large size (more class offerings, better classrooms, better technology to teach with) while UVA-Wise, a college, has the advantage of being small (smaller classes, more focus on the individual, etc) and it is much more affordable. But, personally, I wouldn't trade my four years at Tech for anything.
